Luxury Event- Simone Jewels

I don’t always write a blog post on events I attend because I attend way too many events but I thought this is worth posting because it isn’t one that many bloggers are invited down for, and secondly, I find that Simone Jewels designs are truly unique and it is worth sharing.

A couple of months back, I had the honour of being invited down to Simone Jewels event, held at the prestigious Four Seasons Hotel. As I was early, I waited for my babe Desiree at the lobby and I was secretly enjoying my alone time because the place is so pretty.

#homegoals much.

And while waiting, a selfie please.

The theme for their Christmas tea was to dress up in gold.

Simone Jewels is a Singapore based private jeweller with a cult following of stylish women from Australia, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia, United States and Singapore. At the event, there were so many socialites whom I recognize from frequent appearances at those chi-chi events and on Prestige and Tatler magazines.

Her designs are one of a kind and her latest works were inspired by the Arabian and Aladdin. I nearly roll with excitement because these pieces are not those which you normally see in retail shops.

A statement ring bound to attract attention.

So intricate.

The ring you see below with the pegasus…. It can actually move. Soooooooooooo cool!!!

This murano glass reminds me of the good times in Venice.

You can hide a gem within a gem. I want one please!

This pearl ring is dope. Simple yet very classy.

Matches my outfit!

The ones below were sold at Singapore Jewel Festival 2015, retailing at $3000+. I’m in love!

A bangle in rectangular shape so it doesnt move round and round your wrist.

Thanks for coming to the event with me Desiree!

Lastly, a photo with the owner and designer, Ms Simone Ng. Thank you so much for the jewellery box. I’ve always wanted one to hold all my jewelleries. Convenient and clean.

Singapore Fashion Week- Tex Saverio x Love Bonito Backstage Access

It was an entire week of one of the biggest fashion events in Singapore. From our local labels to having Diane Von Furtensburg, Thakoon and Victoria Beckham coming, it was really a huge deal. Moreover, for all fashionistas in Singapore, it was an excellent time to showcase your #ootd!

I was certainly very blessed to have been given the opportunity to meet the founders of the extremely popular online store Love Bonito, Rachel Lim & Viola Tan, together with one of Singapore’s top style blogger, Melissa Celestine Koh. I received backstage access to the Tex Saverio x Love Bonito fashion show.

If you don’t happen to know who is Tex Saverio, I’m sure you would have heard of the Hunger Games movie. He was the designer who designed Jennifer Lawrence’s Hunger Games Catching Fire where she wore the dramatic chiffon and metal wedding gown for the advanced publicity material. His works have also been worn by Ayumi Hamasaki and Lady Gaga. By the way, Tex is from our neighbouring country, Indonesia.

So, before the fashion event, I visited my hair sponsor, BRANCHÉ. My stylist, Kai couldn’t make it for the last minute appointment, so they had another top stylist, Ichi to do my hair. I did a hair treatment and then hair styling.

Kai was using the VIP room so I sat at the non-VIP area this time. It was still very exclusive because the sides they have got partitions so you won’t know who is sitting beside you.

As usual, I ordered my favorite TWG chamomile tea.

After the treatment is over, it was time to do some styling. Ichi did some braids for me.

And it’s done!

Finally I met Melissa who brought me backstage. Tex Saverio was standing just behind us, checking the oufits.

Then, Rachel and Viola was introduced. They were very nice and warm especially Rachel. She made us feel very welcomed and she’s very personal too. Viola was a little more shy but she was also nice. I asked her how long it took for the collaboration to happen between Tex Saverio and Love bonito. All in all it took about 2 months. It was very rush but it was all good. I’m already digging their pieces! Can’t wait for the launch.

I think the entire collection was somewhat of a nature/forest dark theme with some hues to it. It was really pretty.

After the show was over, we went to have dinner at our favorite food place in Orchard- Chatterbox chicken rice. No photos coz we go there all too often.

Digress a little that’s my entire outfit.

After which, we went to Mitzo at Grand Park Orchard for complimentary Belvedere martinis, courtesy of Singapore Fashion Week. The staffs were warm an nice and the bartender gave us some suggestions on what to have for the martinis.

The blue tank which you see are filled with real jellyfishes.

Last but not least, here’s what I got in the goodie bag from the show, which consisted of multiple brochures, Tex Saverio and Love Bonito shawl for the VIPs, which you can see I used as a backdrop for the things showcased, some writing materials from Kikki K, a Strongbow Apple Cider drink which is in my home fridge :P.
