It’s been a great journey with my esteemed Japanese Hair & Nail specialists from Branche and today, I have decided to put up a post which showcases some of my favorite nail designs from Safori- Branche.
If you’re looking for a cute Japanese lady nail artist who speaks pretty good English, Safori is your go to.
Kawaii right? ^_^
This has got to be one of my top favorite set of nails. I showed Safori some pictures and told her what I wanted for my Lunar New Year nails this year and this was what she came up with. I have a male colleague and he was sharing with me that he don’t normally take note of ladies nails but those posts which I posted on my instagram did catch his eye and he told me rarely he will compliment someone’s nails but my nails are really very pretty. I guess Safori did a fab job!
There are times when I wanted simplicity.
Those frosty ones are gorgeous!
Sometimes, I’m inspired by top fashion houses.
This year, Chanel had this Chanel Airlines collection and boy, was I smitten! I love anything to do with airlines- there’s always something intriguing about it and perhaps it was a dream unfulfilled when I wanted to be an air hostess when I was much younger, thus, anything to do with airlines will get me sitting up and take a good look at them.
I showed Safori pictures of Chanel Airlines and this was what she did for me.
Love or what?
Next, I came across these gorgeous embroidery bags from Dior and they inspired my next set of nails. The 2 images below credits to Brilliant Luxury.
There was this pilot whom I met at work and he commented that my set of nails are really beautiful and this set indeed caught the eyes of many, men and women alike.
Last but not least, my recent set of nails inspired by Enchanted Garden.
Everything is hand drawn by the talented Safori. My husband says some looks like digital prints and it’s really a form of art. Even he, is impressed.
Thank you so much Branche for your sponsorship thus far. I love you all! Looking forward to the next trip to Branche for my tresses maintenance and I’m gonna be searching for new inspirations for my nails. Any suggestions? Drop me a line at email@example.com or comment on my post.

This trip was made possible because of my in-laws so special thanks to them. I had a ball of time at Phuket and trust me when I say time always passes too fast when you’re enjoying yourself. Before I know it, our 4 days 3 nights short trip was over.
Our holiday started on 9 July. 99% of the photos are un-edited, no colour correction either so that I can make this blog post happen, otherwise it will probably take me a year for this post to be up, considering the number of photos there are. I think there are more than 150 pictures here.
Arrived at the Changi Airport. It never fails to amaze me how our airport can be so freaking awesome.
Fast forward, we’re at Phuket and we headed straight to get our car from Chic Car Rent.
On the way!
Before heading to the hotel, we went to Tesco for a simple lunch.
My food is pretty good and the coffee is da bomb.
The durian sticky rice was just alright, nothing fantastic. Was a tad too sticky and wet in my opinion.
Dream Phuket Hotel & Spa is just 20-30 minutes drive from the airport. It’s rather convenient, but it is on the quieter side of Phuket, away from the very touristy Patong. I love peace rather than being in a rowdy place, so Dream Phuket works very well for me.
At the reception.
Welcome drink in mystical blue and it tastes very good. Thirst quencher.
Unlike those resort kinda place, Dream takes on a modernized infrastructure. Also, it is managed by the Castle Wood Group.
I can’ wait to go to the pool already.
Some of the rooms as below have a pool right outside their doorstep.
And here we are at Villa 1!
As we enter through the corridor, we were greeted with this view.
Obviously my hubby is very thrilled. There’s a BBQ pit as well and we contemplated whether we wanted to do a BBQ dinner on one of the nights.
There are a total of 3 rooms and 3 bathrooms. 2 with attached bathrooms and one is a common bathroom.
Pretty art piece.
Fancy whipping up some dishes? You’ve got a kitchenette here.
Welcome drink. 6 coconuts for us and they replenish them daily. Yay to Thai coconuts!
A mandatory family photo.
The lady is definitely happy with the place.
I’m a sucker for pretty flower arrangements. They also have in-built playlists from romantic songs to classical music, so you can have your pick. I love those tunes!
This is like the master bedroom. The bathroom is omg.
Walking up to the bathtub. Yas!!!
My camera couldn’t capture the outdoor shower, but yea, they have it too. Too cool. But I feel kinda naked bathing in the outdoor areas, so I didn’t try this.
My in-laws knew that we would use the bath tub and they don’t, so they gladly gave us the nicest room. They are just too awesome. So much love.
Check out the floats.
After relaxing and taking whatever photos we can, it was time to head out for dinner. Hey, there’s a friendly dog.
We arrived at Central Festival and were deciding on what to eat. We saw MK and went straight in.
Back at the villa, it’s some me time and a book.
Day Two. Breakfast at Trilogy. The spread is not too bad, and there were chefs around to make us eggs and waffles.
Friendly chef we got there.
Supposedly a photo for my instagram. Haha.. #flatlay
After breakfast, we went for a quick dip in our pool and to soak up the sun. The Unicorn and Lime floats are sponsored by Float My Day. You can contact them for float rental prices at 98573311. Thanks for the pretty floats!
Then, we took a 5 minutes drive to the Dream Beach. The place wasn’t open due to the typhoon which damaged the electricity I heard, so they’re fixing up the place. Otherwise, I will probably be dancing and prancing to the music.
He’s got the I got bored of the beach life look.
Went into the sea and letting the waves hit us. Messy tassel don’t care.
The waves got stronger so I decided to get out of the sea while the men were still enjoying themselves.
I will walk with you wherever you go. But if you’re naughty, I will use the husk to hit you. 😛
Coz of the sand and all, we went back to the Villa to do a quick washing up and went out for lunch.
Went through Jungceylon and explored the place a little.
Sleep With Me?
They wanted to find a pizza place where they went previously but they couldn’t find it, so we went to a restaurant we spotted that sells wood fired pizza and settled our lunch. No regrets coz it was so good!
I like the rustic charm.
Back at Jungceylon, we saw McDonald’s and ordered a matcha ice-cream. You can choose your own toppings. Why doesn’t Singapore have this???
After the pizza lunch, it was back to the Villa. Hubs wanted to soak in the pool.
Time really went by too quickly, and it’s dinner time. Hubs read the reviews of Tom Yum Goong and it seems pretty good, so we decided to have our dinner there.
In all honesty, all of us didn’t feel that the food was up to the Thai standard and personally, my husband and I love Pranakorn at Changi Village so much more than this.
I wanted fries and it saved the day. Hahaha…
Rating of the food was 3.5 out of 5.
Back at the Villa, we saw Unicorn peeking at us. How cute is that?
The next morning after breakfast, hubs and I went to check out the Sanctuary Spa. He wanted to have a massage while I wanted a bath. Kinda sad that this spa didn’t have those milk bath kinda thing so I decided to skip spa since I don’t enjoy massage. My hubby booked a session for next morning.
Booking was a breeze but deciding what to do was a headache because there were quite alot of options. Haha…
Then, we finally checked out the sky infinity pool.
Took some time before I managed to get into the water as it was so cold!
This view tho.
After spending some time at the sky pool, we went downstairs to this one. They started playing lounge music. Grooving! Not forgetting, this is a mineral salt pool, great for skin and no I’m not kidding you.
I love the swim up bar.
Then, we went back to our Villa. We wanted to make sure we used all the 3 pools available to us. Lol! My in-laws are having fun with the floats too!
In the afternoon, we went to Premium Outlet Phuket. None of us ended up with any shopping bags. Hahaha… Their operating hours is 10am-9pm daily. Some of the brands include Adidas, Nike, Guy Laroche, Levis, Nautica. I didn’t really want to get anything from these brands, so it was just window shopping.
We had lunch at the Cable Grill.
After shopping, we went to Patong Beach for dinner.
The other day we passed by Lai Mai and I thought the place looked quite pretty, so we decided to have our dinner there.
Happy faces! Comparing Lai Mai to Tom Yum Goong, Lai Mai is alot better. The food tasted really good so if you’re at Patong, you might wanna check out Lai Mai.
We walked the streets and was in search of this. It’s not entirely the same as what my husband and I had previously at Krabi but this was just as good.
Patong’s night life is rather happening I would say, and you can also check out their Boxing shows, or head to Fantasea. There are plenty of things to do in Phuket, but this trip we just wanted to spend time in our Villa and not do such touristy stuffs.
Back at the Villa, they gave us a cake to celebrate my husband and my 2nd anniversary. I’m usually not a great fan of chocolate but this cake is so yummy!
Thank you baby for loving me each and every single day.
I just have to take this picture. Those of you who follows me on my Instagram and Snapchat will know that I love this candy crepe floss. While travelling in the car that day, my hubby spotted someone selling this on a movable stall by the road and asked if I wanted to get. It was raining and I told him it’s ok. I don’t want it. But he decided to run out in the rain to get it for me. I don’t think he will normally do this (hahaha) but he did it that day. It’s nothing expensive, but it melted my heart. I’m really not that difficult to please right? Things like this makes me appreciate him and I know that he appreciates me. Thank you sweetie!!!
Last morning breakfast before heading back to Singapore.
Another round at our pool before all my floats gotta be deflated.
This shot below is by my mother-in-law! I didn’t know she was taking pictures and then she sent them to our Whatsapp group chat and she said “Paparazzi”. MIL, I give you a thumbs up for this one. Thanks for this photo! I had to edit this because it was kinda dark so the one here is the brighter version.
It’s time to checkout and we were at the petrol kiosk to top up the fuel and hey, we found our fave food!
It was pretty oily but it was so yums.
And it’s bye Phuket! I’ll see you again!
Overall, it was a great experience at Dream Phuket Hotel & Spa. It is fairly new, with the grounds opened only in November last year. Their room offers complimentary high-speed wifi, rain shower, flat screen tv with 25 international channels, fully stocked mini bar, safe box and more. They also have complimentary shuttle service to their private beach- Dream Beach Club (former Nikki Beach Club). It was just unfortunate that during the time we were there, the beach club was closed due to damages from typhoon. There’s a gym too which I realized I forgot to take a photo of and a gift shop. It is a 40 minutes drive to Patong Beach, depending on traffic.
I would highly recommend this place to anyone who needs a quieter and peaceful hotel to unwind and it makes it even better if you drive or ride because that’s where you can explore the roads in Phuket and you can easily head to Patong. I will suggest that you get a car for rent if you’re staying here because it can get kinda expensive if you were to take taxis in and out. However, they do have shuttle services to Patong as well.
The staffs were very friendly and service was top notched. It is an upmarket hotel with a touch of class, luxurious in every way you can imagine. The international breakfast buffet spread is sumptuous and I thoroughly enjoyed my food. It was fun going to different pools to experience different things.
