If you were to ask me, most girls love taking selfies because we can check ourselves live on cam before snapping. Which is why when I was given the ASUS Zenfone Selfie to review, I was secretly thrilled because I wanted to find out how good is the camera.
Running on Android, boasting a 13 megapixel front and rear camera with laser auto focus, dual LED flash, beautification mode and plenty more. I’m definitely not a tech geek, but this post is mainly for people who loves to take pictures and are already familiar with the Android interface. I shall not dwell too much into what Android can do, so let’s hit straight to the pictures.
The Zenfone Selfie comes in 3 colours, all super pretty, and if I were to buy one, I will probably have a tough time choosing the colours.
The colours available are Aqua Blue, Pure White and Chic Pink. I was given the Aqua Blue.
Such a lovely colour!
The pictures below were taken raw without any photo editing and touching up. It instantly smoothed the skin and I have zero pores! I took the selfies with different lightings and used a professional camera to take a pic of the phone with the image and it still looks so good.
The pic below was taken with yellow lightings in the lift.
I love this! Natural sunlight facing and my face is so nice and smooth I wish my real life skin looks like this!
This was taken with the least optimum lighting but it turns out pretty well too. I repeat, none of the selfie images were edited at all.
The phone is very easy to use and the camera is fantastic. Even without using the editing tool provided within the camera, the pictures already look so pretty!
The beautification mode is just too awesome I can’t even, and it also comes with a selfie panorama mode, ZenMotion where you swipe an alphabet ‘S’ on the screen and it instantly brings you to your camera. Yes it’s that cool.
You don’t even need to spend thousand over dollars on a selfie camera. This phone is like the ultimatum, it should be on every girl’s (and maybe guys too if you’re into selfies) wishlist. I used my current phone to take a selfie with the same lighting but the effect is just so different. I always need to use apps like MeituPic to smoothen the skin when the lighting isn’t optimum but ZenFone selfie doesn’t need to. It is actually one of the best selfie camera for smartphones.
