Golden Autumn Celebrations @ RWS Sentosa

Hi everyone! What’s up? It’s been a while. Today I’m gonna share with you on one of the events which I’ve attended. It’s pretty unusual, not the fashion nor beauty sort of event.

Welcome to Resorts World Sentosa!

The scenic waterfront area was transformed and it was adorned with plenty of beautiful lanterns specially brought in from Cheng Du, China.

As I enter, there was a baby dinosaur that greeted me too. Haha!

It was the official opening night and there were cultural performances. I have to say it was very interesting! I love their signature Face Changing 变脸 Performance and there were also Shaolin monks displaying their skills in martial arts.

My favourite part of the walk is actually this. So pretty.

This is a dazzling 12-metre high giant porcelain vase display. The real thing looks really beautiful.

Some other shots of the place.

This is very beautiful too!

There are other light installations but I shall not spoil the fun and make you go down to have a look yourself!

At the end of the tour, we were treated with Si Chuan food.

As this is a ticketed event, you can be sure there won’t be a massive crowd and you can slowly take your photos as you walk the trail and soak in the atmosphere.

This event runs from now till 12 November 2017 and is made possible by Golden Compass School.

Venue: Resorts World Sentosa, Waterfront

Ticketing: Tickets can be purchased via: (65) 6348 5555 | | Resorts World Sentosa’s attractions ticketing booths and RWS Invites Counters |

Thanks for the 2 cute pandas!

Althea Petal Velvet Powder Review

I’ve been one of the lucky ones to have been receiving items from Althea Korea for 2 years already. It’s been a really good journey to see how much they’ve grown.

Recently, in fact on 1 August, they launched their very first in-house product, the Althea Petal Velvet Powder! It is made with micro-fine particles that minimize the size of pores and fine lines to reveal a flawless, petal-like complexion. Its translucent and perfecting qualities also create a satin finish that mattifies without dehydrating the skin.

I’m now ditching whatever powder I’ve previously used for this! My face is not just sensitive, but is ULTRA sensitive. For me to find a good product means plenty of trial and error and risking the fact that I might succumb to rashes. I don’t normally give any review before using it for a least 2 weeks, so I’m glad to say I’ve been using the powder for more than 2 weeks and so far so good!

It does help to mattify my face but due to the fact that I have combination skin and my T-zone can get extremely oily, it did help me a little to keep my face matte at least for about 4 hours before having to touch up. Here are some photos.

The best part is that this powder is just S$6 and anything made in Korea, I have to admit, I’m pretty biased beccause I love Korean products. Haha..

So shop away at Althea’s website here. From time to time they do have promotions so do checkout their entire website to see what else you can get from there.
